In 2003 Julie and Michel decided to renovate their house in cooperation with Brussels architects 51N4E.

After the renovation they realized that the renovated house is a symbol, a materialisation of the common denominator in their life. The architects call this renovation the Arteconomy project. In the end they worked together for nine years, from 2003 to 2012. This is only possible when the renovation process is multi-facetted and the relationship between the two parties is very good. Experimenting is the key in the renovation of the house.

In 2011 the architects 51N4E were awarded the Biannual Belgian Prize for Architecture and Energy 2011, for the Arteconomy family home.
