In 2010-2011, artists Katleen Vermeir en Ronny Heiremans produced their experimental short film The Residence.
Against the background of an unknown city, a real as well as an imaginary place, a symbiotic relationship develops between a sucessful investor and the ambitious architect of his afterlife.
The artists developed this short film taking the economy and the belief in progress as a yardstick for everything as a starting point.
The story is set in Hongkong and the architecture of the house is the set for the scenes in the life of the main character.
