When Michel sold the business Constructies Espeel in 2007, artist Claire Roudenko-Bertin wanted the soul of the business to stay alive and that’s why she created Label Culture Espeel.

In 2001, during the artistic performance Touch Me, French artist Claire Roudenko-Bertin signed an agreement with Michel who was the CEO of Constructies Espeel: Michel remained the owner of le corps physique (the physical body) and Claire became the co-owner of l’ âme (the soul) of the company. This was the beginning of a long cooperation between her and the company.

Video: In 1964 Luigi Nono, the Italian composer inspired by socialism, created La Fabbrica Illuminata as an ode to the metalworkers in northern Italy. This contemporary experimental work has only been performed once in a company. In December 2005 Claire Roudenko-Bertin had this work performed for the employees of the metal company Constructies Espeel. She is co-owner of ‘the soul’ of the company. The soprano Anne Hey-Mi Shin sang the original version and was  given technical assistance by Arne Deforche of the Centre de Recherche et de Formation Musicales de Wallonie.
